Elham Aref, BA., M. Psy., RP Registered Psychotherapist and is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Elham Aref. M.psy., RP., is the founder and clinical director at Aref Psychotherapy Services. She provides clinical, counselling and applied psychology services.
Elham Aref is the registered psychotherapist in clinical, counselling and applied psychology. She is the founder and clinical director at Aref Psychotherapy Services.
Over the past 25 years, Elham has lived in five countries, and as a volunteer, she helped many refugees adjust to their new countries. She has experience working with adults with mental health challenges, including life transition issues, adjustment disorders, cultural assimilation, PTSD, stress management, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem, and trauma.
In her practice, she combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Elham offers a trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients’ personalities and needs.
She offers a client-centered approach and provides clients with a non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate environment while working collaboratively on their therapeutic goals and needs.
