Elham Aref

Elham Aref, BA., M. Psy., RP Registered Psychotherapist and is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Elham Aref. M.psy., RP., is the founder and clinical director at Aref Psychotherapy Services. She provides clinical, counselling and applied psychology services.

Elham Aref is the registered psychotherapist in clinical, counselling and applied psychology. She is the founder and clinical director at Aref Psychotherapy Services.

Over the past 25 years, Elham has lived in five countries, and as a volunteer, she helped many refugees adjust to their new countries. She has experience working with adults with mental health challenges, including life transition issues, adjustment disorders, cultural assimilation, PTSD, stress management, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem, and trauma.

In her practice, she combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Elham offers a trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients’ personalities and needs.

She offers a client-centered approach and provides clients with a non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate environment while working collaboratively on their therapeutic goals and needs.

Davood Mohammadi

Davood Mohammadi holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. He is currently a practicum student in the “Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health (BREM)” program which is a CRPO-recognized program for the training and employment of internationally trained mental health professionals. 

Over the past years, Davood has worked extensively with adults with mental health challenges, including adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem, and sexual problems, amongst others.

In his practice, he is committed to an eclectic approach where he combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, strategies, and techniques driven by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, and Evolutionary Cognitive Therapy. He offers a trauma-informed, strength-based, resiliency-cared, and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients’ personalities and needs.

He is fluent in English and Farsi. He is deeply familiar with the culture of Farsi-speaking countries including Iran and Afghanistan, and also Islamic and Middle Eastern countries. He is easy to speak to and offers a judgment-free environment for his clients to speak freely about their needs without any worries.

In addition to his clinical background, he has been an effortful researcher during the last decades. Davood is the author of a very well-acclaimed book in the Farsi language titled: “Sexual Psychology; An Evolutionary Perspective on Attractiveness, Sexual Variety Seeking and Unfaithfulness”.

Tina Abadi

Tina Abadi is a compassionate therapist who tailors her approach to meet her client’s needs, drawing from various psychotherapeutic frameworks. With a background in psychology and counselling, Tina practices from a person-centred perspective, providing a safe, judgment-free space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. She believes in empowering clients to take control of their narrative and navigate life’s challenges collaboratively.

Specializing in depression, anxiety, mood instability, obsession/compulsion, family conflict, relationship issues, career-related stress, and low self-esteem, Tina offers expertise in areas such as ADHD, anger management, grief, trauma, self-harming and suicidality, as well as PTSD, among others. She utilizes therapeutic approaches, including attachment-based therapy, EFT, CBT, SFBT, and family/couple therapy, to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.

Tina is dedicated to providing personalized support when working with children, teenagers, adults, couples, families, or individuals. She holds a BA in Psychology from York University and an MA in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Yorkville University. Saghar (Sasha) Mohammdi

Saghar (Sasha) Mohammdi is a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works under supervision to provide personalized care to each client. Adopting a client-centred approach, Sasha specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), firmly believing in the innate capacity of individuals for self-improvement when motivated correctly.

Sasha is committed to offering a non-judgmental and secure environment where clients’ concerns are heard, and collaborative treatment plans are developed.

With a focus on culturally responsive and trauma-informed therapeutic methods, Sasha strives to build meaningful relationships with clients, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.

Solaleh Amini

Solaleh is a compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) specializing in managing anxiety, depression, and life challenges. Committed to creating a safe and supportive space conducive to healing, she employs a blend of evidence-based methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Ereny Saleh

Ereny Saleh, BA., M. A., RP Registered Psychotherapist, is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Over the past 25 years, Ereny has been working in different fields, and her main passion is helping others reach their best potential and achieve their goals. She holds an undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical science from her home country. Her medical background allows her to obtain appropriate knowledge about general health and well-being. She has had the privilege of coming from a different country and occupying different Jobs that allowed her to experience meaningful engagement with many people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, abilities, and life stages. Interacting with diverse cultures has profoundly enhanced her compassion and humility for all humanity.
